A better understanding of your posture and movement habits

Postural analysis at Solution Santé is for clients who want to better understand how their body holds itself, moves, and compensates. Posture is influenced by several factors: work position, time spent in front of screens, exercise habits, repetitive movements, stress, injuries, pregnancy, growth, muscle tension, and daily routines.

A postural analysis session helps observe how different parts of the body work together. The lower back, pelvis, shoulders, neck, hips, knees, feet, and overall alignment can all influence how the body distributes effort. When one area compensates, another area may become tense, fatigued, or uncomfortable over time.

This service can be helpful for clients experiencing recurring discomfort, stiffness, uneven tension, reduced mobility, or pain that seems to return to the same areas. It may also be suitable for active individuals, athletes, office workers, growing children, pregnant women, or anyone who desires a more informed approach to their body care.

Postural analysis can support:

  • Improved body awareness
  • Understanding recurring tensions
  • Observing muscle imbalances
  • Identifying compensations
  • A better awareness of daily posture
  • Support for mobility-focused care
  • A clearer direction for the next sessions
  • A better understanding of work or sports habits
  • Preventive body maintenance
  • Personalized follow-up over time

Anthony Horth, kinesiologist at Solution Santé

His university studies allowed him to develop his knowledge in movement assessment, exercise prescription, physical conditioning, rehabilitation, and manual therapy. Before becoming a kinesiologist, Anthony played football for 17 years, notably with the Vert & Or at the University of Sherbrooke.

This experience as an athlete allows him to fully understand the demands of performance, the challenges associated with injuries, and the importance of appropriate support when returning to training or sport.

Anthony helps people who want to reduce pain-related discomfort, regain their physical abilities, resume training, improve their lifestyle habits, or optimize their athletic performance. His approach combines manual therapy, exercise prescription, and personalized training.

Anthony Horth holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from the University of Sherbrooke and a specialization in manual therapy. He is currently pursuing a master's degree and is in the thesis writing stage.

Expertise guided by observation, movement, and personalized monitoring

Postural analysis at Solution Santé is part of a more holistic understanding of the body. The clinic's approach considers posture, movement, muscle tension, exertion, stress, and daily habits. This helps create a clearer picture of why certain discomforts may recur and how future sessions can be tailored.

The clinic's expertise is supported by massage therapy, physiotherapy, orthotherapy, sports-oriented care, musculoskeletal mobilization, prenatal care, cupping, and continuing education. This foundation allows the team to observe the body with attention to movement, compensations, and muscle patterns.

What distinguishes this approach:

  • A personalized observation of posture and movement
  • A calm, professional and respectful environment
  • Clear communication during the session
  • Attention to daily habits and physical activities
  • A holistic view of the body, and not just of a painful area
  • Care recommendations tailored to your comfort
  • Follow-up notes to promote continuity
  • Integration with massage therapy, physiotherapy, or orthotherapy when relevant
  • Support for active lifestyles, posture at work, and recurring tension

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about postural analysis

  • What is the purpose of postural analysis?

Postural analysis helps to observe posture, alignment, movement patterns, muscle imbalances, and compensations. It can help guide personalized care when discomfort, stiffness, or tension frequently recurs.

  • Who can benefit from a postural analysis?

Postural analysis can be helpful for office workers, athletes, active adults, growing children, pregnant women, people with recurring tension, and anyone who wants to better understand their body.

  • Can postural analysis help with tension in the lower back, neck, or shoulders?

Postural analysis can help identify postural habits, movement restrictions, or muscle patterns that influence discomfort in the lower back, neck, or shoulders. It can support a more personalized approach to care.

  • Is postural analysis painful?

No. Postural analysis is based on observation, awareness of movement, and communication. It is tailored to your comfort and mobility. If manual therapy is subsequently incorporated, the pressure and techniques are adjusted to your tolerance.

  • Can postural analysis be combined with massage therapy or physiotherapy?

Yes. Postural analysis can be combined with massage therapy, physiotherapy, orthotherapy, or sports massage when appropriate. It can help identify areas that require particular attention in subsequent sessions.
